Legio Secvnda is Mos Maiorum's project of roman military experimentation and reconstitution of the so called "Polybian" legion of the republican age,  with its peculiar composition in three orders (tria ordina) of legionaries differently armed and equipped, according to the organization of the roman society of the time, based on the classes of census'division.

Our project of historical reconstruction encompasses all the aspects of the military life in an ancient roman legion of the republican era: from materials and strategy down to logistics and everyday life of the citizens-soldiers.

The majority of our artifacts are made by ourselves using philological materials and either according to original tecniques or coherent with them.
